Spectra S1 battery

A great advantage of the Spectra S1 is the inbuilt rechargeable battery.

The main benefit of this feature is that you can take the S1 pump out and about and use it either in your car, or at work, with no worries about charging the unit.

With the  Spectra pump S1 you can pump nearly everywhere, without the need of electricity to make your breast pump function.

The Spectra S1 battery life will last up to 3 hours without needing to be plugged into a power point.

Quiet breast pump

Moms love that the Spectra motor is power but at the same time quiet. So it is easy to pump next to baby if you need or even at work.

It has a handle for easy portability and the it is quite compact in size, which is another loved feature about the breast pump.

Spectra S1 parts

This breast pump is designed to last. However, if for some reason you accidentally break a valve or some other part, you will need to buy a replacement.

Spectra replacement parts can be expensive, so that would add up to the cost of buying the pump.

Spectra S1 vs Medela

Medela Freestyle Advanced and Swing cannot compete with the fact that the Spectra S1 is a closed system pump. This makes it more hygienic as moisture is unlikely to pass onto the tubing and motor.

The Spectra small flange helps create a physical barrier that prevents milk from passing to the tube.

Medela Symphony is the only Medela breast pump that is a hospital grade closed system pump.

The Symphony is indeed superior in performance but not portable, which is a compromise some mothers cannot do. Plus, Medela Symphony is considerably more expensive than the Spectra S1, at a retail value of over $1,500-$2,000.

Affordable Breast Pump

Considering that the Spectra S1 pump offers a closed system technology and portability, it is considered very affordable for the price.

In retail stores, it is always a bit more expensive than the Spectra S2, because of its in-built battery. For many moms, this is a fair price to pay for all you get, which is a hygienic, portable and reliable product.
